Well I normally go to free to stream/watch sites for anime or manga so when the sh*t hits the fan and Japan realizes that they F* up by then to late I'll just spend more time looking for a job I'll never get because I don't have a vehicle and end up homeless and destitute begging for death

Welp not to long ago there was a shake up in the JAV industry. Things moved on despite mild protest. As for anime its been known for some time that some titles outsource their works. Not sure what the outcome is moving forward but looks like the entire entertainment industry is getting a shake up.

While making it harder for animators in japan to get work? wow.... and we thought US teachers had it rough.... Japan "Anime, and cars are our biggest export!" also Japan "WE HATE ANIME... I think it is a business issue. It sounds like anime studios are extremely abusive and they take advantage of the culture to do it. What are even the studios doing if everything is being done by freelancers. I think the real reason this tax was made was so companies used less freelancers and actually hire their workers. so that they don’t get around giving them the benefits they would as employees.

So basically anime fans want to stop a law that makes it harder for companies to lie about taxes because fans will let companies pass the burden to animators instead of companies taking the 10% loss. Why not just buy and stream anime at a 10% higher price to save anime instead?

It also sounds like it might be an interesting business opportunity for savvy American (I am American, there for America,) business people to scoop up alienated industry talent. Play your cards right and you not only create much more limit pushing competition, but you (and subsequently, they) could also make a boat load of cash doing it.

As a tax payer and someone who understands economy, taxes are necessary. However, 10% on someone who lives paycheck to paycheck and paid 0% before is a bit extreme. And no offense asking for greater paid doesn't always work or fix the issue. I'm a low income american and there is no asking for a pay increase, you get what you are given and no less in most jobs here. Some jobs do overtime pay, not mine.

I mean, this sounds more of a cultural issue or a perspective issue. If you are working as a freelancer or independent contractor, you are essentially running your own business. You're not so much working for someone as an employee, so much as you are selling a service to another business. The solution for this, is really for these freelancers to increase their prices by 10% just like any other business would, ans pass the expense off to the customer which is in this case the studio, who can write this off when they go to file their taxes. But yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head with the Japanese culturally being averse to asking for raises or more money.
